After the election results were revealed, I knew it was time to escape the chaos for a few days of rest and relaxation. So, I hopped on a plane and headed to Napa Valley to celebrate a milestone birthday of one of my favorite girls. If you’ve read my post Did Someone Say Girl’s Trip?, you already know that I’m a huge fan of girls’ getaways—and this one certainly lived up to the hype. It was the perfect opportunity to tune out the election noise and spend time with some amazing girlfriends in one of the most beautiful, tranquil places I know.

Napa Valley has always been one of my favorite destinations, and this trip only reaffirmed why. From the breathtaking vineyards to the peaceful ambiance, it’s the ultimate place to unwind. We stayed in an absolutely stunning house with panoramic views, a pool, and a jacuzzi—pure luxury. To make things even more indulgent, we had two private chefs, a private yoga session right at the house, and a personal driver (because we never drink and drive!). Every moment felt like a slice of heaven, and we soaked up every second of it.

Our wine-tasting adventure took us to three incredible wineries: Mumm Napa, Caymus Vineyard, and Rombauer Vineyard. Each stop was unique, offering something different and special. At Mumm Napa, I fell in love with their sparkling wines—DVX was my absolute favorite. At Caymus, known for their exceptional reds, the 50th Anniversary bottle stole my heart. Finally, Rombauer took our breath away with its stunning views. Between tastings, we embraced a little local flavor at a cozy mom-and-pop Mexican restaurant. We went from being prim and proper, sipping wine and nibbling on charcuterie, to diving into giant burritos and tacos. After a quick pit stop, we were back to sipping and savoring at our last winery.

We also spent a bit of time exploring downtown Napa grabbing a bite to eat and stumbled upon a hidden gem: M. Lowe & Co. Fine Jewelry. The owner, Margo, was incredibly sweet and welcoming. A few of us decided to commemorate the trip with permanent bracelets, which Margo expertly fit us for—a fun and sentimental touch to cap off the weekend.

All in all, this Napa getaway was everything we needed and more. From the beautiful wineries to the downtime in between, it was a celebration of family, friendship, wine, and taking the time to enjoy life’s little luxuries. I already can’t wait for our next adventure.

Have you visited Napa Valley? Let me know in the comments I would love to know if you love it as much as I do.
